Rie was the bravest person I ever knew, 'always' brave, her smile lit up a room and the people, her sense of humor was superb, her insights wise. Losing children scars forever, the bitterest of all life's experiences, pretending otherwise would be an untruth, Connor lost his Mother and guide also. Marie came along when I was 20 and Sandi was 18, she was a joy, and so funny with it, her grace was charming and strong, even through her many bouts of illness her integrity was inspiring, nurses loved her sass and chat, Marie never sought sympathy from others, a rare spirit, and special woman, as modest as she was beautiful, naturally so.
